Throughout the year, I engage people’s mind in the art of painting through workshops. This can be any age group at almost any location, ie my studio, in the environment, or in schools. The learning process will vary depending on the needs of the people attending.

If this is a school workshop for instance, then it can run for 1 – 5 days. During this period, the children will go through a series of drawing and painting exercises on paper, working with and understanding colour. It encourages children to interpret what they see in a creative form. This enables freedom of expression. It also allows children who perhaps don’t excel at an academic level to achieve a creative potential.

All of this leads up to a larger, more accomplished painting as the final piece. This is a group effort, with an emphasis on individuality, and will normally be hung in a public space within the school, (with pride of course).
