This painting is probably the one which brings all the elements of the Morris work together in one piece. The viewer is looking through the windows which is surrounded by symbolic references from the Alter Frontal. I also used a poem by Morris – A Garden by the Sea, parts of this have been transcribed as the landscape seen through the window.
